How She Really Does It is a local radio show hosted by Koren Motekaitis, it "...covers a variety of topics, including balancing work and family, financial issues, career, building businesses, parenting, education, religion, and youth sports. This talk show is meant to inspire, empower, entertain and be a resource for women."

It was such a great experience being on Koren's show. At first, I was so nervous but after about 15 minutes I loosened up. My throat was dry and I kept trying to clear it. Oh well. We talked about how the business started, the demands of owning your own business, working with your spouse, being moms, the whole issue of trying to do or have it all (I told her that I've had to learn to let some things go and joked that our babysitter is probably climbing over piles of dirty laundry at home as I was talking to her) and a bunch of other topics. It was like we were hanging out and having coffee. The Monkey was able to hear it for a little bit in his baby sitter's car, which I think is pretty neat. As soon as Koren is able to get a Podcast of it, I'll post it. That's me on the left and Koren on the right. Thanks Koren, it was a blast.

Dyeing... Color, That Is

We've been busy getting ready for spring and that means a lot of dyeing. For those of you that don't know, not only do we design and screen print all our shirts, we also dye the organic cotton ones. Dyeing takes a great deal of time and energy, but we think it's worth it. In the end, the shirts are beautiful and original.
Personally, I love color. I don't even have a favorite one, I love them all. I see beauty in each one. My favorite thing about the dyeing process is watching the change between the water, fabric and materials. I'm like a kid, developing and observing the swirls, dips and soaks. I think it's what keeps me sane, while doing it each time.

And because I've been working out for a little over a month now, I thought I would try a Step class at the gym.
Wrong thought.
Let's just say, after about 7 minutes my ass was handed to me. I kept going though. Even though, through out the class everything would get dark, like I was in a tunnel.
Not Good.
I kept moving, focused on by breathing and finished the class (looking lame the wholetime).
When I got home, Tom said my face look as red as our car from across the parking lot.
Thanks honey.
It's been two full days and my body still hurts.
Ouch.

A Lot of Work And A Little Bit of Play

The Monkey's school asked if we'd come up with a design and print shirts for them. They are having a meeting tomorrow. I hope they like what we came up with.


Then, Whole Foods called last week and wanted to know if we had anything for Easter/Spring.
Hmmm...Not Really But...this is what I came up with, Spring Chicken and Carrot.
They liked it. Yea!!



And finally, for this last Christimas, we gave The Bubby 4 tickets to see Mika in concert (he took 2 of his friends and I got to go). The concert was last night and I have to say it was one of the funnest shows I've been to. Mika is exteremly talented and charming. So Happy!

Taking Time
