Italian Crafter, Lavinia Gardella, crochets functional and decorative items. After working at the Davis Farmers' Market and some time in the store, we'll be off to the Renegade Craft Fair in San Francisco.

Left to Our Memory...

In the busyness of getting ready for our store's Grand Opening party, we completely forgot to bring a camera for pictures. I thought The Bubby brought it. The Bubby didn't think about it. And Tom thought that, of course, I would bring it. Anyways, we don't have any pictures of the party. We're totally bummed because we would have loved to have shared the photos with you all and have them for ourselves. Oh well.
We want to thank everyone who came, showed their continued support and ate the mass amount of food (we're so glad there were no left overs).
We are so happy people had a good time, weathered the wind and heard Cam play his bagpipes.

Busy Busy Buzz Buzz

We've been super busy with summer, the store and working on finding a new normal.
Tom and I are just so thankful there is caffeine.
Oh, thank you mighty coffee gods.

OPEN

We did it.
We opened our doors this last Friday and made it through our first weekend.
Yea! We're very tired.

Thank you to all our friends who came by with their love, support and good juju.

Getting There...

We'll be bringing in the desk and shipping supplies today, along with getting ready for the big weekend sale.

Thanks to Christine and The Bubbies for letting The Monkey hang out with you guys. You Rock!

Moving Forward...

with the store front.
Some of the fixtures are up and we will be getting more throughout the week (shelves, racks, tables, lights, etc.). If you're local, stop by and peek in. We'd love to hear feed back. We are there most of the day (and night).

The opening will be Friday July 11, with about 80% of the store being complete. We're shooting for that date because Downtown Davis has their huge Sidewalk Sale that weekend and we want to get rid of a lot of old stuff.

The Grand Opening will be sometime in August. We will keep you posted.

Store Photos

We are just about finished with the floor. It took about a day and half longer than we thought.
We used a light colored bamboo. It's really pretty.
Mental note: Next time hire someone to put in the floors.
(Sorry about the couple of washed out photos, we'll have better ones, promise)
Next, the fixtures.

Green Paint

The painting of the store is finished. We used Yolo paints, which are Zero VOC, have low odor and are mold resistant. The walls are a clean white with a small area of the ceiling being our "green".
We will be putting in the bamboo floors in very soon.
We'll post photos shortly.

Brick & Mortar For Real

We have begun the work on our store front. We will post the progress.
It's all very exciting.
