The monkey has been running around naked a bit much lately. We don't mind, like most parents we love seeing our little person being carefree and comfortable. When asked, "Monkey, why do want to be naked all the time?", he answers, " 'Cause, I'm crazy that way."
Oh, O.K.. We did have to tell him that he cannot help bake Christmas cookies naked. Or at least until he is thirty and in his own kitchen. He seemed to understand and liked that idea because he ran into the bedroom and wanted his clothes back on, all the while saying, "Be like Bubby."
Bubby is his fifteen year old brother, Pooch. He is a sophmore in high school and is quite an old soul. He uses the school halls as his runway for his daily outfits and is on his way to design school after he graduates. He loves the city Paris (after visiting it a couple of summers ago) and wants to live there as soon as possible. Sweet. We can have a place to stay when we visit France.
The monkey has also been telling us that when he does't want to do something we ask him to do, he will say, "No way, Jose." I guess, like most kids, he is only repeating what he hears. It's just facinating that he is picking out what is funny and uses it to lighten up the situation. It works.
